After much anticipation, Coinbase just added 0x (ZRX) to its platform. Not only can you trade 0x (ZRX) on Coinbase Pro, but now you can buy and sell the cryptocurrency on Coinbase.com and through their app.
This platform only listed Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Litecoin (LTC)—until now. Last week, the cryptocurrency exchange announced that they’re listing 0x (ZRX) on Coinbase Pro. This is their cryptocurrency exchange.
Not only can you invest in ZRX through their cryptocurrency exchange, but you can also buy ZRX on Coinbase.com and their app. All the more reason to learn how to set up an account now.
Only New York and UK residents cannot convert USD/ZRX for the time being.
There are only four other cryptocurrencies on their platform. So why did they choose to add 0x, the cryptocurrency running on the 0x protocol?
0x is an Ethereum-based protocol that is both centralization and decentralization. What this means is that it facilitates fast exchanges, like a centralized platform, and secure transactions, like a decentralized blockchain. On top of all this, 0x has lower fees than Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
More specifically, the 0x Protocol uses “relayers,” which store order books off the blockchain in exchange for ZRX. Smart contracts also facilitate the 0x network, as is characteristic of Ethereum-based technologies.
To date, it’s one of the most popular and secure cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets. In addition to that, they’re one of the most valuable startups in America with a self-proclaimed value of $8 billion.
ZRX’s listing on Coinbase and Coinbase Pro adds new levels of liquidity. In other words, investing USD/ZRX has never been easier, and ZRX price will undoubtedly rise accordingly.
Many cryptocurrency exchanges are expanding their listings. Earlier today, Litecoin (LTC) began trading on Gemini.
