Incidents
- 2025 · Supply-chain attack: A malicious browser extension build (v2.68) was published to the Chrome Web Store on 24 December 2025 outside the normal release process. Users who logged in from 24 to 26 December were drained: 2,520 wallet addresses, about $8.5 million. Trust Wallet said it would voluntarily reimburse affected users; the claims process was still running when the post was published. About $8 million taken; customers were made whole. source
- 2023 · App exploit: SECBIT Labs linked thefts on 12 July 2023 to a weak random number flaw in Trust Wallet iOS builds from February to August 2018. Trust Wallet said the flaw was patched in 2018, affected users were notified, and only about one third of the victim addresses had it. Loss amount attributable to Trust Wallet not established. source
- 2022 · App exploit: WebAssembly flaw in Wallet Core gave weak entropy to wallets created in the browser extension between 14 and 23 November 2022. Two exploits followed; Trust Wallet disclosed it in April 2023 with about $170,000 lost and said it would refund affected users. About $170K taken; customers were made whole. source
