- 2026 · Hack: On Sept 24, 2026 attackers transferred about $387.5 million (first estimated at $351.6 million) from Bitget hot and warm wallets; suspected North Korean hackers. Bitget suspended all withdrawals and began restoring them in phases from Sept 28, with remaining assets scheduled from Oct 2. Bitget says user balances are unaffected and its Protection Fund covers the loss. The amount is what was stolen from the platform. About $388 million taken; customers were made whole. source
